Product Description

The Shakespeare Omni fly reels are modern, lightweight fly reels at an affordable price. Strong, lightweight and reliable fly reels with modern looking cut away design these fly reels are very good value. They have a quiet and refined click drag system with a quick release spool.

DETAILS

The Omni fly reel is available in two sizes:

A 3.4" diameter reel for AFTM 6 - 7 fly lines (plus backing line)
A 3.9" diameter reel for AFTM 7 - 8 fly lines (plus backing line)

#6-7 Wieght: 134g
#7-8 Weight: 148g

Both versions are about 1.25" wide and have an adjustable click drag which can be easily changed over for left or right hand winding.

CONSTRUCTION

These fly reels have a strong but lightweight composite reel body and spool. The open cage design makes it easy to change lines while the click drag system is enough to prevent line overrun from the spool.

OUR OPINION

These budget fly reels are good looking and great value for money. Not only that, but Shakespeare have managed to produce a good low cost fly reel that has the quality and refinement normally associated with much more expensive reels.

If you want a low cost large arbor fly reel then we'd recommend either these ones or the new Sigma fly reel with a disc drag. For pure value for money these Omni fly reels are nice and cheap and unbeatable for the price.
